John Egan has had a long, varied and successful career in the media business. In the early 90s he was a principle architect of the Carlton TV bid to win the London ITV weekday franchise and soon rose to the board. He has held a number of key directorships in commercial television and was one of the first people to see the possibilities in digital terrestrial TV. John now runs sit-up, a company operating the two most innovative home shopping channels in the UK, 'bid-up.tv' and 'price-drop.tv'. with his joint MD, Ashley Faull.
